New Lockdown declared in France as of Friday 30th October

  • Updating and adding new properties on our website

  • Putting together property lists, sending you available information and material on your preferred properties
  • Accompanying you on live virtual tours
  • Taking on new sales mandates
  • Carrying out virtual signing using an e-signing facility for all legal documents.

The buying process will continue for all the ongoing sales as notaires, banks, administrations and France Property Angels continue to work.

With our best wishes to all our clients from the France Property Angels Team

Discover Saint-Gervais-les-Bains: Mountain Life All Year Round

If you’re longing for a mountain town that blends adventure, charm, and convenience, Saint-Gervais-les-Bains in Haute-Savoie is a true Alpine gem. With its mix of thermal springs, ski slopes, and year-round outdoor appeal, it’s an ideal place for a holiday home or full-time move — especially if you love the mountains.

Living and Getting Around

Saint-Gervais-les-Bains is home to around 5,700–5,800 residents (as of 2025), known as Saint-Gervolains. The commune spans roughly 63–86 km², reaching from 571 m in the valley to Mont Blanc’s 4,808 m summit — the highest point in Western Europe.
Despite its mountain setting, the area is well connected and easy to navigate:

Tramway du Mont-Blanc: A scenic cogwheel train that climbs high into the alpine terrain — reaching Mont Lachat and Nid d’Aigle in summer, and Plateau de Bellevue in winter, overlooking the Chamonix valley.

Free local buses, lifts, and cable cars link Saint-Gervais to nearby ski areas and villages. The resort is part of the Évasion Mont-Blanc ski domain, which includes Les Contamines, Megève, Combloux, and St Nicolas de Véroce.

Road and rail access: The town is accessible by car, and there’s a train station at Saint-Gervais–Le Fayet.

The new Valléen lift provides year-round access from Le Fayet directly into the heart of Saint-Gervais, making it easier than ever to reach — whether from Geneva, Annecy, or beyond.
