Facing Mont Blanc, this 'petit' village has all the assets of a mountain village; charm, authenticity, calm, comfort and traditional local events. St Nicolas is easy to access from Geneva, and sits at 1180m of altitide facing the Mont Blanc massif in all its splendour. It has a real feel of a high Alpine village overlooking high glaciers and peaks. In the village, all within a short walk, is you all you need for a pleasant holiday: village shop, post office & boulangerie, hotels, restaurants, sports shop, kindergarten, & ski school…. The larger village of St Gervais is just a 10minute drive away.
The architecture is primarily old farm buildings and traditional chalets. The imposing baroque church at the entrance to the village is quite stunning inside, forming part of the Baroque Art trail of the area.
In winter the ski runs are connected to the 445km Evasion pistes, of St Gervais and Megève. St Nicolas itself offers you 420kms of excellent ski runs, some equipped with snow blowers. Be it skiing, snowboarding, cross-country skiing or snow boot walking anyone coming to St Nicolas will have a great time.
In the summer St Nicolas is the perfect ground for all sorts of activities, Paragliding, Mountain walks, Mountain biking.
Within 10 kilometers you have access to a swimming pool, ice-rink, mini golf and driving range, & mountain guides’ office, and the thermal Spa in le Fayet.
