Summer, cycling and the tours!

time-megeve-mont-blanc-2014-1The ski lifts of St Gervais & Megeve have finally stopped turning, as the season comes to a close. It always seems wrong when you look up and the mountains are still white and yet more snow is forecast down to 1500m of altitude this week.  

But not for long, in the valley floor fruit trees are in bloom, and tulips in full flower as the change of season starts to creep up the hillside. 

There is lots to look forward to in St Gervais & Megeve this summer.

Starting on 5th June with the now internationally renown TimeMegeve Cyclosportive, ( with three distances available to the participants, each taking in a selection of famous Tour de France Cols.

But the biggest, most anticipated event this summer is of course, the world famous Tour de France. With a Time trial from Sallanches to Megeve on Thursday 21 July, and stage 19 from Albertville finishing in St Gervais on Friday 22nd July, and stage 20 to Morzine starting in Megeve on 23rd July, its going to be a big week. 

Being the last three days before the wheels finally roll in along the ChampTime1s Elysees its sure to be some of the most exciting days of the Tour.
